AFRICA CEO FORUM 2015
THE FORUM FOR AFRICAN BUSINESS LEADERS
Geneva, 16-17, 2015
Africa 2.0 is a pan-African civil society organisation providing a platform for emerging and established African leaders to drive forward the transformation of Africa. Founded in 2010 around the belief that with a unifying vision and a focused “coalition of the willing”, Africans can accelerate the development of their continent.
Our vision and goals are set out in our Manifesto – this guiding document was written by African thought leaders and experts, and sets out sustainable and thoughtful solutions to Africa’s challenges that will result in lasting change.
The Africa 2.0 community is made up of 600 + members (and growing everyday) who share a collective vision for Africa and a commitment to finding and implementing sustainable solutions that will leapfrog the development of the continent. Each of them is a visionary leader in their own right and together they make up an unstoppable community dedicated to the transformation of Africa.
Spread across 33 Chapters in Africa and the Diaspora working on executing our impact initiatives globally. They are supported by our Champions who are aligned to the strategic pillars of our Manifesto, and who lead taskforces of thought leaders and experts and ensure all our initiatives are knowledge-based.
We are often described as a D-ink Tank – a think tank that Does things. That is because we focus on executing impact initiatives as well as moblising members around advocacy topics & thought leadership.
Our work spans from empowering youth through entrepreneurship with our Start Up Africa and Mentroship programmes, Rebranding Africa and building unity and solidarity through our #FABA (For Africa By Africa) and WeAre1ne campaigns.
And to bring it all together we hold a number of events through-out the year, including our Annual Leadership Symposium that brings together Africa’s movers and shakers for 3 days of celebration, co-creation and planning and community building.
