About Africa 2.0

Africa 2.0 is a Pan-African Civil Society organization that consists of young and emerging leaders from Africa and the Diaspora who share a collective vision for Africa and a commitment to finding and implementing sustainable solutions that will in turn leapfrog the development of the continent.


A “Dink Tank”
We believe that we must get involved and be part of the change that we wish to see on the continent. In order to define ourselves we use the word  “Dink Tank” (This means A Think Tank that also Does Things, in other words we Propose Solutions and aim to play a catalyst role in the Implementation Process) by => Transforming Hope Into Action.

Africa 2.0 as a presence in the following countries:
Africa: Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’ Ivoire, DRC, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana,Guinea-Conakry, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, Zambia, Zimbabwe. Diaspora: China, France, UK, and USA, North America.

Our Purpose:
Our purpose is to effect thoughtful change in Africa by enabling a broad-based, inclusive and innovative Social Contract that involves  thinkers and actors from the private sector, civil society and government who are committed to developing and implementing practical and  creative strategies  nationally, and internationally  ; that will produce positive outcomes across the continent.
Our Values:

Solidarity:
Togetherness among members and  Africans in General – Ubunthu Philosophy : “I am because you are”

Unity:
Consistency and dedication to OUR common purpose where the interest of the group supersedes individual interests.

Progress:
Challenge the status quo and permanently enhance human progress across Africa.

Leadership:
An army of sheep led by a Lion will always defeat an army of Lions led by a sheep.

Action for progress! “Always think like an Action man, and Act with thoughtfulness”
